News Animation: Character Update

This is the news!

So as you will have probably noticed, I've uploaded a lot of short videos this week, which all relate to the upcoming general elections. I've been editing footage of party leaders and manipulating what they've said to create funny messages, similar to Cassetteboy.

As there is a mixture of animation and real footage, I'm not spending hours upon hours animating, which means I can bosh out the videos quickly. I plan on doing this FOREVER now, and plan on making a news show, including other reporters, the weather etc., in a similar fashion to The Day Today, which I loved watching when I was younger, and is definitely a huge influence for me.

Stuff in the Works

So aside from the short film and animation I have planned, I am currently working on a short weekly news broadcast which will only last a minute or under. This will mean being able to get content out weekly whilst I work on the other two things!

New: Short Film

So I've been quite after finishing episode 2 of 32 Madagascar Road last month, but there is good news; I'm working on a short script I wrote in my first year at university, with filming of the first scene to take place soon!

I have actors and most of the crew in place, so it's just arranging a day to film now. I've had a year break from film, but I'm looking forward to bringing this script to the (computer) screen!

Animating is Done!

SO finally, the animating for episode 2 of 32 Madagascar Road is complete. All that remains now is the sound. 

This episode is entirely different from the previous episode. There is no real plot, and the episode is in three separate acts. There is also no dialogue, so it will be interesting to see the response!

On to the Last Scene!

So I've been making my way through the second episode pretty quickly since I recovered my motivation. I'm now on the last scene, so I am hoping for the episode to be done before January is finished!

Motivation Found!

So near the end of last year I completely lost motivation for the animation. But fear not, as my 'mojo' is back and I've continued working on episode 2 of 32 Madagascar Road!

Now it should be noted that the direction and style of this episode are very different from the first episode. In what way? You'll just have to wait and see.

I'm hoping to have the animation done very shortly, so stay tuned!
