The Knife
INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT
JORDAN is lying in
bed, asleep. The door opens. TOM is stood in the doorway. Jordan, not moving
and with his back facing away from the door, opens his eyes.
TOM
I heard about what
you did
JORDAN
Yeah well, it was
necessary
Tom looks down,
impatiently.
TOM
You know you could
have got hurt
Jordan rolls his eyes
and sighs.
JORDAN
Well I didn’t
TOM
Where is it?
Jordan doesn’t move.
Tom looks around. He reaches down to a bedside table. He picks up a knife. He
looks at Jordan.
TOM
You should have been
more careful
Jordan rolls his eyes
again. Tom turns to walk out. He stops.
TOM
I’m proud of you
Tom walks away.
Jordan smiles.

Where I've Been
So it's been a while since I updated this blog. That's mainly due to going on holiday in December, then Christmas happening and just being generally busy. At the turn of the new year however I spent a good deal of money on film equipment including a new camera. Despite all the money I spent, it's all a future investment. I am now prepared to shoot my own short films without having to rent or borrow equipment. Speaking of short films, I have written a few short scripts and will be filming a short film in the next few days.
I will also be doing film reviews for my Youtube channel. These will be a mixture of reviews of 'The best bad movies' and films that I consider favourites of mine.
On the animation front, I have tweaked the script a little bit and am thinking about releasing the episode in two parts. This is due to the massive scale of the project, and releasing two different parts will give me more time on the second part whilst being able to actually have something to show.
I am multitasking with these different projects, but it keeps me on my toes and encourages me to be constantly productive. Be preapred for plenty more videos this year.

Release Pushed Back
Despite having set the release of episode 3 of 32 Madagascar Road for around Christmas, I have decided to push it further back. Having a full time job means that I don't get the time needed to finish such an ambitious project in such a short amount of time, seeing as this episode will look a lot better and be a lot longer than the previous episodes. Also, self motivation is very difficult, especially when you are the only person working on the project. And I'm going on holiday in a week, which would mean losing 5 days of work.
Although the episode is set during and has strong links to Christmas, I feel it is best to not rush it in time for Christmas as it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as what it has the potential to be. I would rather be patient and finish with a very good animation than rush it in time for a deadline and not be as good.
I will keep updating, mainly on Facebook and Twitter, and hopefully by the new year I will have a more solid plan for a release date.
As always, stay tuned.

Back to it...
So I've had a week or so off from working on the animation, due to me going away for a few days. But I'm getting back to it now and sticking to my scheduled release date of Christmas! Scene 1 is more than halfway complete, so things are looking good.
As always, stay tuned.

Fancy being in the next episode?
I'll be including a couple of background characters in the next episode of the animation, and instead of drawing random characters, if any of my friends are interested in being drawn in cartoon and put in the animation with a possibility of doing a voice then give me a shout! I'll try to make the cartoon as near to the real thing as possible.

32 Madagascar Road Episode 3 Release Date
Taking into consideration how much more detail and effort I am putting into episode 3 in comparison to the previous episodes, I have decided to give myself a bit of a window for a completion date, and it is Christmas. Not neccessarily Christmas Day, but around that time. People love relevant things. So the pressure is on!
Stay tuned!
